I have be looking at viking shield and how they are put together to see create a more realistic joint and shape to the wood and metal. I found the hardest part to be creating to butt in the center of the shield. The shape was tricky and that was the point where i was hitting the suck, however powered through and found a way to do it and I am really happy with how it came out.
